Crimson Desert has topped 2M sales within a day


Newsbrief: Crimson Desert, the large-scale RPG by Black Desert Online developer Pearl Abyss, has topped 2 million sales within 24 hours of release.

“We are incredibly humbled to share that #CrimsonDesert has sold through 2 million copies worldwide,” reads a Facebook post from the official game account. “Thank you so much to our fans, community, and everyone who has joined us in Pywel.”

At the time of writing, Crimson Desert has mixed reviews on Steam, aggregating 6,850 entries. Alongside sharing the milestone, Pearl Abyss also made a general comment about the next steps for the game.

“We will listen closely to the wide range of feedback shared by the community and work to make improvements quickly, doing our utmost to make the journey ahead even more enjoyable for our players,” the post concludes.

Back in early 2024, Black Desert Online earned €2 billion (or $2.17 billion) in lifetime revenue, while also locking in 55 million players across PC, consoles, and mobile.
